1. Mr Fogg - Stay out of the Sun

    Genre: Indie, Pop, Electronic

    .

Oh the irony. The song title heeding advice that some people in England may wish they had taken during yesterdays glorious weather. Many now complaining about sunburn. Myself not included, mwahaha!

    .

Mr Fogg hails from the musical hub of Oxford.

  2. Tom Rosenthal

When you start listening to Tom Rosenthals music, you discover something more than just a singer/songwriter from London. He writes songs in a variety of themes including: story telling, poetic pieces like The Boy or Giant Bicycle; simple, soft folk songs like Take Care; humerus alternative song covers including Destiny’s Child - Bootylicious; and songs filled with lyrical wit and observation, including a slightly sarcastic homage to Jeremy Kyle.

    .

    The Boy

An awe provoking dream like story, performed with the simplicity of voice and piano.

    .

Destiny’s Child - Bootylicious (Tom Rosenthal cover)

An Epic. IMHO “Beyoncé” has the hottest moves here.

    .

    Take Care

From his 2011 album: Keep a Private Room Behind the Shop
    Genre: Folk

  5. Joanna Newsom - On a Good Day

From: Have One On Me (2010)

    Genre: Indie Folk

Not only is Joanna Newsom stunningly attractive. She is a multi-talented harpist, pianist, singer/songwriter and fashion enthusiast from Nevada City, California.

The thing that gripped me into her music, was her unusual voice and the breathtaking, unique and unexpected melodies she plays on her instruments.

    Bloc Party - Helicopter

    From: Silent Alarm (2005)

    Genre: Indie Rock

    .

Haven’t heard much from these guys in a while but they are currently on tour in various places around the globe. They recently signed to a new label [Frenchkiss Records] in March, so maybe we will be hearing some new tunes from them in the near-ish future.

  7. Radiohead - Staircase (Live from The Basement)

  8. Bernhoft - On Time (Live at Kampen Bistro)

An awe inspiring performance, making flawless use of his loop pedals.

*This video is from before he got his trademark mohawk hair style.

  9. Are you norwegian, or scandinavian? Were did you find Jarle Bernhoft? He is amazing

Neither, I’m English :) A friend recommended Bernhoft to me, his music is so funky, I love it!

If you know of any other good artists I should be listening to, please let me know.
