RAY LAMONTAGNE - WINTER BIRDS
This is the perfect feel for my day today. Sitting at the park in the mild sun, drinking tea and reading my new book Into The Wild. #raylamontagne #winterbirds #gossipinthegrain

Justice vs Siniman - We Are Your Friends
You should have heard this essential track before, but if not, NOW IS THE TIME! It’s Friday, time to dance and sing!!
Frightened Rabbit - The Woodpile
What an indie/folk rock anthem! the prefect way to start the day; with this five piece band from Selkirk, Scotland.
Kaki King - Doing The Wrong Thing
Hit play, close your eyes, and think of travelling. An enthralling guitar piece as featured on the film Into The Wild. I have just learnt to play this piece and am sooo excited to start playing it to everyone.
DJ Kool - Let Me Clear My Throat
It’s Friday which means it’s time for a big energetic soundtrack to start the weekend! I’m away for the weekend and will be attempting to get nice and far away from any internet connection, hence the extra posts today. Enjoy and let me know if you get up to any crazy shiz!
The Lumineers - Ho Hey
I’m sure this was featured on an advert for something on TV but can’t remember what, does anyone here know? Fact about me: I don’t actually watch TV. Ok, I’ll see it if it’s on at someone else’s house but that’s about it. I haven’t had the aeriel plugged in for over three years now. There are far more interesting things to do in life. Don’t you agree?
Marika Hackman - Bath is Black
The first artist (except Marika) who pops into my head when I hear this song is Lucy Rose. It’s chirpy, acoustic and fun.
San Cisco - Awkward
These guys hail from Fremantle, Australia and are currently supporting the Darwin Deez tour. I was privileged to see them live last night and they really got the crowd rocking! Even the people who had never heard of them before were like “OMG who are these guys, they’re amazing!” - True story.
Going to see Darwin Deez in Bristol tonight. Who wants to meet for pre-drinks? Spring Dance here we come!
Bella Ruse - Like Spinning Plates
Check this sweet cover of a track from Radiohead’s 2000 album (and my favourite album of all time) Kid A.
Peter and Kerry - Clothes, Friends, Photos
A lovely song about a break up. What I love about this, is that the lyrics are so genuine, down to earth and relatable; especially following a long term romantic relationship.
Lianne La Havas - Liar
Soul / Indie singer songwriter from England. I’ve been promoting Lianne’s work since the release of her first EP - Live in LA in December 2011. When I shared the link to download it free from her website (still available) my blog went craaazy. These days she is hitting the big time. Her live performances are outstanding and are always supported by great artists such as RnB violinist, Marquis Tolliver.
Destiny’s Child - Say My Name (Cyril Hahn Remix)
Thanks for the suggestion of this track by @entirety. This is the perfect chillout track to finish off this weekend. If you’re into your DC remixes, need some lolz, or just want to see some people sexy dancing, wearing skin coloured nude suits; search on YouTube or Vimeo: Tom Rosenthal - Bootylicious. The Beyoncé double is my fave.
ARC (electronic music) Festival, Bristol UK. The morning after the night before, I’m feeling a little hungover and my voice has almost gone. I sound like Batman it’s so deep (for perspective, I’m actually a higher range baritone singer). Clark was by far my favourite last night, the music was so good in that tent I almost couldn’t handle the awesomeness hence the lost voice and crippled body.
Clammy Clams - I’m Good
Keeping with the electro feel for this weekend. Time to get the slow-mo dancing on to this. You can find more recommended Soundcloud tracks here: IndieM_Kitchen
